Criminal Order Extended for 2 Years |

A man has had his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in Shrewsbury town centre extended after it was discovered he had breached it. David Severn, of no fixed abode, appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Thursday 8 October, where an additional two years were added to his CBO.
The 46-year-old was given a three-year CBO in September 2023 due to anti-social behaviour in the town centre. Severn's CBO will now run until September 2028, and means he must not: PC Anna Rouse, from Shrewsbury’s Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “CBOs are put in place to protect communities from persistent anti-social behaviour, and we will take action against anyone who breaches them. “Severn's behaviour has caused distress to people in Shrewsbury town centre, and the extension demonstrates that repeated breaches will not be tolerated. “We will continue to work with our partners to ensure the town centre remains a safe and welcoming place for residents, businesses and visitors.”
